Skagit Valley Eagles

Once a year the Skagit Valley fills with Bald Eagles. If you haven’t been there to witness it you should take the trip. The scenery is spectacular and the eagles put on quite a show. Pack your patience and your camera and make a day of it. There are eagles soaring, eagles eating and standing in the water as well as numerous eagles sitting in the trees. Bring your fastest lens to get them in flight and your big zoom for those long distance shots. If you are smart (unlike me) you will time your viewing around the sun as most viewing is directly into the sunlight or completely shielded from it making getting that perfect picture a fun challenge.
