Earlier this year I took my first ever trip to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, it was really quite a site. I was really surprised at the splendor of the flower varieties. There were some awesome Tulips and many other great looking flowers.

The City
Seattle is such a great city. There is so much to see and do and such incredible splendor in the architecture of the buildings. Seattle is probably one of my favorite places to visit however I just wouldn’t want to live there. Even with all the things to do and places to see I enjoy living a bit away from the people in the outskirts of town, where you can get to whatever you want in an hour but enjoy a less crazy life at home.

Sunset
Just as the sunrise is a natural splendor equally is the sunset. A stunning sunset is the ultimate end of the day relaxation tool. I enjoy nothing more than a nice sunset followed by a nice camp fire (even if I am not camping). It just lets you take a break from the days events and focus on the serenity of it all

Camping
I enjoy camping and I even enjoy the modern conveniences you get staying at a nice campground or state park. But every once in a while it is nice to just disconnect and claim your own campsite in the middle of the forest. This isn’t ideal in National Parks but many places will let you camp where you want and all you have to do is take the food you can pack in and be willing to explore your surrounding to find whatever else you need.7/12/2006
Sunrise
What is it about a sunrise that will inspire people to wake up early and take a break from their busy lives to witness a natural phenomenon that occurs every day? Maybe it’s the fact that it is something we can’t control, or maybe its just we take so much for granted that when we get the chance to sit down and enjoy the natural splendor that is yielded from this cosmic event we can’t help but to take it all in.

Eagles

Of all the birds I believe the bald eagle to be the most magnificent. It is simply a bird that demands respect. It is amazing to me that people would kill such a creature of stature. At one time you would be lucky to find these magnificent birds anywhere in the US other than Alaska but thanks to conservation they can be found almost anywhere.

Mt. Rainier, WA
Recently took a camping trip and did some hiking around Mt. Rainier. Mostly went from the Sunrise side of things but also took a trip up to Paradise. This was the first time I had been to Sunrise, despite living only two hours from the mountain. The views were some of the most breathtaking I have seen in some time. I was truly awed at the majestic views of the mountain and humbled by the beauty of nature. These are some examples of the breath taking views along the way. If you are looking for a great place to escape reality this is it.
